How can I carry more Rupees, Bombs and Arrows?
Get the Big Wallet, Big Bomb Bag, and Large Quiver upgrades to carry more of each item.
What purpose do the gray stone markers serve?
Examine the marker to turn it into a Wind Crest. You can then use the Ocarina of Wind to teleport to
any Wind Crest you have discovered.
Why is Link's outfit a different color?
Whenever you drink one of the Charms, Link will change colors temporarily. His outfit will return to
normal when the effect of the Charm wears off.
Is there a way to skip the cut-scene each time Link shrinks?
Yes. Press the R Button to skip the scene.
What do I do with the blue mushroom in Deepwood Shrine?
Pull the mushroom back, then let go of the Control Pad to be thrown forward. Link can use the mushrooms
to cross gaps and water.
How do I destroy the spiky turtles in the Cave of Flames?
Let them run into your shield, then hit them with your sword when they are flipped on their backs.
How do I cross the disappearing bridge in the Palace of Winds?
Pull the lever to make the bridge start to appear. Before the bridge has completely reached the ledge
where you are standing, face up and dash across with the Pegasus Boots.
In the Temple of Droplets, how do I push the ice blocks to get the Big Key?
Push the upper block left. Next, push the lower block left, down and left. Push the middle ice block
(with the Big Key inside) left, up, left, down, left, up and right.
How do I jump through the stack of clouds in the Palace of Winds?
Stand below the bottom cloud. Hold the button the Roc's Cape is equipped to to jump straight up onto
the cloud. Repeat until you reach the top. Be sure that you do not press the Control Pad in any direction when you jump.
Does this game have a single player mode?
Yes. You can play through the entire Hyrulean Adventure mode with one to four players. Some modes of
play, such as Shadow Battle, are only available for more than one player. This game is a lot of fun for one player, but it
gets even better when you play with a few friends.
Do I need a Game Boy Advance to play this game?
If you're playing through the game in single-player mode, you can use either the regular Nintendo GameCube
Controller or a Game Boy Advance connected to the Nintendo GameCube with a Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Advance cable. If you're
playing the game in multiplayer mode, each player will need a Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Advance Cable and a Game Boy Advance
to play.
Can I use my Game Boy Advance SP as a controller?
Yes. You can use either an original Game Boy Advance or a Game Boy Advance SP as a controller. You
must use a Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Advance cable to connect your Game Boy Advance to your Nintendo GameCube.
What if I can't figure out how to solve a puzzle?
Perhaps you've overlooked something important. Use the C-Stick to manipulate the camera and check your
surroundings. Look for doors or passageways you may have missed. You can also use the Tingle Tuner to get hints through cooperative
play.
Does L-Targeting offer anything particularly good?
By L-Targeting an opponent, you can keep it in sight during battle and hit it more precisely. L-Targeting
is particularly useful against very quick enemies and flying enemies, and using distance weapons like the Boomerang while
L-Targeting ensures much greater accuracy. You can also speak to people from a distance by L-Targeting them first.
My Hearts run out too quickly ... What should I do?
Each time you defeat a dungeon boss, you will gain one more Heart Container. You can also increase
your life gauge by searching for Pieces of Heart. Four Pieces of Heart combine to complete one Heart Container.
The enemies are too tough ... How can I defeat them?
All enemies have weaknesses, so if one method of attack doesn't work, try another. Also, every time
you get a new item, try using it as much as you can. You will almost always have some item that will help you overcome your
foes. You should also watch your enemies carefully-they may drop their weapons. If they do, take advantage of the opportunity.
Why does my Controller rumble inexplicably?
The Controller rumbles when Link is struck or attacked, but it will also rumble when a particular item
is trying to tell you something. If the A Button icon changes shape, try pressing the A Button to see what's up. But remember,
you won't get rumble hints if your Rumble Feature is turned off.
How can I become a Master Swordsman?
First, go to visit Orca on Outset Island and learn how to use a sword. After that, it just takes practice.
Repeatedly tapping the B Button and pressing it in conjunction with the Control Stick will allow you to attack with successive
blows. Also, if the A Button changes shape while you're fighting with your sword, immediately press the A Button again to
perform a parry move. Only then you will know what it means to be a true Master Swordsman.
A Link to the Past/Four Swords
Does each player need to have a Game Pak to play Four Swords?
Yes. Each player must have a Game Boy Advance and a Game Pak. Also, you'll need Game Boy Advance Cables
to connect the systems. Here's exactly what you'll need for each combination of players.
Two Players: One Game Link Cable, two Game Paks and two GBAs. Three Players: Two Game Link Cables,
three Game Paks and three GBAs. Four Players: Three Game Link Cables, four Game Paks and four GBAs.
The Four Swords dungeons seem different each time I play. How does that work?
Four Swords creates a dungeon level by randomly selecting a dungeon setting -- a vast area with many
set challenges -- then dropping a randomly selected new dungeon part into it. As you gain more keys and experience, obstacles
become more challenging and levels become more difficult. There are dozens of settings and parts available for each separate
area, so you'll always be challenged with new dungeon levels!
How does my team reach Vaati?
The first time you play through Four Swords, each player will earn a Silver Key if the team earns 1,000
Rupees in an area. If you earn the Silver Keys from the first three areas, you'll proceed to Vaati's palace.
Once you defeat Vaati once, you can play through the game again in an attempt to earn Gold Keys for
your team. However, you can only go for the gold if everyone on your team already has Silver Keys. After your team has earned
Silver Keys, you can try to earn Hero's Keys by earning 5,000 Rupees in an area.
If you accomplish this, you'll proceed to Vaati's palace, where the team must beat the palace levels
and Vaati four times before finishing off the mage for good!
Do my actions in A Link to the Past affect gameplay in Four Swords?
Yes. If you learn a new sword move such as the Beam Sword attack in A Link to the Past, you can use
the special move during your adventures in Four Swords. If you beat the final boss in A Link to the Past and Vaati in Four
Swords, a new dungeon opens in A Link to the Past. And more!
How can I find out how many Pendants/Crystals Link has?
While in the overworld, press the Start Button to access the Items subscreen. The Pendants and Crystals
found will be displayed on the right-side of the screen in the middle box. Any Pendants or Crystals which haven't been found
yet will be gray in color.
I picked up a fish. What do I do with it?
Link can bring it to the man who sold him a Bottle to receive some Rupees, or Link can throw it back
into the water for some extra Rupees.
An imp cursed me. How do I get rid of the "1/2" symbol above my Magic Meter?
The "curse" actually allows Link to only use half as much magic as before (which is a good thing).
Where is a good place to build up Rupees?
Go to the Desert in the Light World. There is a cave under a rock next to the middle-aged man. Move
the rock, enter the cave, lift the pots and leave. When you leave, the Rupees in the cave will reset. Here are the basic locations
of chests which contain 300 Rupees:
Light World: South of Link's House. Light World: In the Sanctuary (via the Graveyard). Dark
World: In the Village of Outcasts. Search the top-right house. Dark World: In the Village of Outcasts. Search the Chicken
Coop. Dark World: South of the Bomb Shop.
I entered a room and all the doors are shut. How do I get out?
There are three possible solutions:
1. Destroy all the enemies in the room. 2. Find a floor switch to step on. Pick up either jars
or skulls to find a floor switch. or look for a slightly raised section of floor. This may be a switch to open the doors.
3. Pull on a wall lever to open a door.
Can I defeat Laser Turrets?
Laser Turrets, which are statues that shoot lasers, cannot be defeated. If Link is stuck in a room
with a Laser Turret, Link will need to move a block to open any closed doors.
I've lost my sword. Where did it go?
Link probably left it with the Smithy brothers. Enter Kakariko Village after giving the Sword to the
brothers for them to have time to forge a new one. For that time, Link will be without a sword.
How do I get back to the Dark World?
After Link defeats Agahnim in Hyrule Castle, entering the castle will take Link to the Dark World.
What do I do with the treasure chest following me?
Go to the Gossip Shop (Smithy's house in the Dark World) to find a treasure chest. In the Light World,
take the chest to the man in the desert to get a Bottle.
Why can't I use the Magic Mirror?
If Link tries to use the Magic Mirror in the Dark World and he gets sent back to the Dark World, move
to a different location. The game will prevent Link from teleporting into a bush, rock, building, etc, and then getting stuck.
How do I get rid of the Goriyas (large rats) that mimic my movements?
Aim an Arrow to one side of the Goriya, then move the opposite direction so that the Goriya moves into
the path of the Arrow.

This Password doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?
The Secret and Ring Passwords in the game are based on the name of the file. If you are using a password
from someone else's game, that password will not work because the name is different. If a side quest password doesn't work,
make sure you're using it in the proper linked or original game with the same file name as the game you received the password
from.
What's the maximum number of Heart Containers possible in a Linked Game?
The maximum is 16. You start with four, then you can collect eight Heart Containers from dungeons,
three from collecting Pieces of Heart, and one from a side quest. In a normal non-linked game the maximum number of Heart
Containers is 15.
How can I get a different pet?
If you purchase the Strange Flute from the Shop before heading to Spool Swamp for the first time, you
will get Moosh's Flute instead of Ricky's. If you win Dimitri's Flute in the Subrosian Dance Hall before heading to the Spool
Swamp for the first time, Dimitri will be your pet. If you're playing a Linked Game version, you will only be able to find
the pet which you received in the first game. For example, if you received Moosh in Oracle of Ages, you can only get Moosh's
Flute in a Linked Game version of Oracle of Seasons.
When I started my game, I did not get to pick a name, why?
If you use a password to start your game, your name is chosen based on that password.

You cannot enter the Maku Tree until you've completed Level 2: Snake's Remains. Once it has been completed

Majora's Mask
What's the deal with the three-day time limit?
Majora's Mask features an internal clock that counts down for 72 hours. At the conclusion of 72 hours,
the moon will crash into. One game hour equals about one minute of real time, so to play through the whole three-day cycle

Is there any way to save before recovering the Ocarina of Time?

Why can't I give this item to someone?
You must first speak to the person (or check the object) to whom you wish to give the item, then equip

If I have completed a task, will I have to do it again when I go back in time?
All areas and dungeons in the game will be reset to their original state, minus the major items collected,
when saving. For example, if linkmust complete a task in the Northern Mountain area in the springtime, he will need to defeat
Goht again.
What if I forget my Secret Code?
If you have the Bomber's Notebook, highlight the Bomber's Society entry with the Control Stick, then
highlight any one of the entry's blue bars with an exclamation point to read the code. If you do not yet have the Bomber's
Notebook, you can speak to any of the Bombers wearing a blue cap to have it repeated.
What do I do when the Vulture (Takkuri) steals something?
If you get mugged by Takkuri, you can simply save and reset the game or you can purchase back the stolen
item at the Curiosity Shop.
Do I need to find all of the Masks to stop the moon?
No. To complete all of the side quests, though, you'll need to find all 24 Masks.
What is tingles supposed to be?
Quite simply, we don't know.
